First time visit here as a walk-in after spending a few hours waiting in the Services Canada office. Decided to give this a try as my shoulder blades and back have been bugging me for a few weeks.

There were two others already having sessions, but Keisuke saw me right away and I told him about my aching shoulder blades. After a 30 minute session, which at times had 'good' pain as pressure points were targeted and muscles kneaded, my shoulder blades felt a great deal better!

Great service and friendly smiles here, with an excellent massage targeting my problem areas!

Few days ago, I’m not feeling well and my shoulder and back are painful. I know that I have to relax cuz I’m stressed and tired during these couple of weeks. So I came to Japan Shiatsu Clinic, and I really recommend my Shiatsupractor Taku!! He is the best! I feel better after my massage, relieve my pain and stress! Super!! Toshi was fantastic. I have been dealing with constant hip and back tightness as an athlete and he relieved that for me. I will definitely be booking another appointment. I am always looking for alternative ways of treatment, and this really worked for me.

This review is for the Surrey Central location.

It's worth it to note that the massage space is open to the mall, and so sometimes the noise of people walking by can be distracting. The shiatsu clinic does its best to make a relaxing space by dimming the lights and playing serene music, and they can't control if a loud group of people walk past.

What keeps me coming back to this place is the quality of the massage. I find that I get a very good, therapeutic and pleasant massage every time I come here. The practitioners are kind, skilled and respectful. Even though I have medical benefits that cover registered massage therapy, I find myself getting more out of going to Japan Shiatsu and I don't mind paying out-of-pocket for it. Not only do my muscles feel markedly less tight after my massage, but the massage itself is quite pleasant and not painful.

Left feeling disgusted and violated!!!

Hit or miss with practitioners. Today a young man massaged me and he wasn’t very good. After telling him to add pressure he would do it for a few minutes then go back to light pressure. He wasn’t keeping the pressure on long enough which doesn’t help relieve the tension in that area. He also wouldn’t keep my blanket on. I couldn’t understand why he was lifting the blanket off where he was massaging as they don’t usually do that. When I’ve gone here the thin blanket is on the whole time. His touch was uncomfortable, felt like he was just touching me. Absolutely disgusted and had to end my session early. When i told the manager over the phone that he seemed inappropriate she chuckled and didn’t seem take my concern seriously.! To be honest i should not have paid for that session. I feel so violated.
