Sooke Exercise Therapy (SET)

After struggling for years with chronic back pain, I decided to try Sooke Exercise Therapy to see if they could possibly help. I booked an appointment with Jonathan and from the very first appointment I was thoroughly impressed. I have seen many health practitioners and doctors over the years and not one gave me as thorough an assessment as Jonathan did the first time we met. He has worked with me to help me understand my condition as well as to establish a safe and effective exercise regime to achieve my fitness goals. He has been patient and imperturbable dealing with my many questions and I feel like I am slowly getting my life back. That's HUGE!

Jon is an absolute game changer for my life. This is not an understatement. I originally went to see him because I'd tried 4+ physios and a dozen RMT's with NO noticeable longterm improvement to chronic and severe hip pain.

I have a complex medical history for a 43-year-old. 20+ years of rheumatoid arthritis has damaged most of my joints. Something triggered my hip and I was starting to consider a hip replacement after going through 3+ years of chronic pain. It was interfering with my sleep, my work and my joy.

After one session I was noticeably improved and after a month, it was down to a 1/10 on the pain scale most of the time. It's now been a few months of treatment and the difference is incredible. If you are someone with longterm and/or chronic muscoskeletal issues, see him. He addresses your entire body as a system. I haven't felt this good for a very long time. Most of my days are pain free.

Jon is an incredibly knowledgeable exercise therapist who makes recovery actually enjoyable and far less overwhelming with achievable goals.

My surgeon was very impressed with the amount of mobility I regained (after broken ankle + surgery) in a such a short time, and how much I know how to care for it long-term. So obviously I can’t recommend Jon enough, he’s the best ?
