I graduated from Ajna Yoga’s 500-hour Advanced Teacher Training program in 2017, and I can confidently say it was a transformative experience that has profoundly impacted my life both on and off the mat. From the very first day, I was welcomed into a supportive community of fellow trainees and highly experienced instructors who genuinely cared about our development as yoga practitioners, aspiring teachers, and community members. If I could go back in time, I would have certainly enrolled in their 200-hour Teacher Training program as well.
Ajna Yoga offers a comprehensive and thoughtfully designed curriculum that is incredibly accommodating to diverse learning styles. The program not only covers the physical aspects of yoga but also dives deep into philosophy, anatomy, teaching techniques, and the business side of the industry. The combination of workshops, assignments, practical teaching opportunities, and in-depth discussions made the learning process engaging and effective for me.
What truly stands out is the nurturing environment cultivated by the diverse faculty at Ajna Yoga. They are not only knowledgeable and skilled but also approachable, relatable and emphasize on accountability and relational work, providing me with invaluable mentorship that helped me build my skills and confidence as a yoga teacher.
Additionally, the sense of community at Ajna Yoga is so delightful. I forged lasting friendships and meaningful connections with both my peers and mentors. The studio itself fosters an inclusive, inviting, caring, and joyful atmosphere in the heart of Oak Bay Village.
I came into this program seeking to deepen my practice and gain the tools to teach, and I left feeling empowered and inspired, a sentiment that resonates with me to this day. If you are considering a Teacher Training program, I wholeheartedly recommend Ajna Yoga College. It is a place where you can thrive, build long-lasting connections, and truly enjoy the journey. I am immensely grateful to have been a part of it!
