SunLee Nails & Spa

This is a great salon they are always polite in my experience check in with me during the fill to make sure things are to my liking. I definitely think it’s better depending on who you get ever time Johnny has done my nails that have been done so incredibly well they are durable and details are noted and completed with care, the one time I didn’t go with him although the nails were beautiful the durability wasn’t as great with lifting.
Over all I will continue booking with Johnny at this great place !

I love the colour of my nails, it's exactly what I asked for except for the fact that it felt rushed near the end of my experience since more people started coming in. Both hands had lopsided french tip which I kept asking the nail tech to fix but I think due to rushing she completely ignored my requests. I paid a good 75$ for these nails so I expect the same quality for the price but end up kind of disappointed. Next time, don't take on clients more than you can handle.

I do highly recommend the guy nail tech (I didn't get his name), he did my sister's nails and she really liked them! He seemed highly skilled and is very detail-oriented! 5 stars to him!

I have never written a bad review before but my experience here was insane.
I recently moved to the neighbourhood not that long ago and was in search for a nail salon near my house, I was very nervous about finding a good shop! My regular nail salon I would go to is over 30 minutes away. So I decided to give this shop a chance because of the good reviews.
I booked an appointment and came in for my 11 am appointment but there was no nail tech to do the appointment I booked 5 days prior. But I understand that sometimes there’s traffic or people are late. My nail tech showed up at 11.30 ..
I asked her for them to be shorter and she was rude saying really are you sure that’s way to short.. and she told me it won’t look good. It’s my service that I’m paying for though. Why shame my decision? And still I’m smiling saying no I want them like that.
She did not prep my nail, usually they do a manicure to clean my cuticle this salon does not do that she filed it once and put the acrylic on.
She then only put a very thin layer of acrylic on my natural nail and none on the rest of my nail. Usually when I get a fill they put acrylic on the whole nail not just the tiny refill on my natural nail.
I thought that was weird only coz I’ve never had someone do that. I’m only 25 and I’ve been getting acrylic nails done for 12years so almost half my life.
Fills always cover the whole nail and then file down. To prep the nail they file it down so the tips of my nails are now thin and would need more acrylic.
I asked her if it was okay if she could please put more acrylic on the whole nail because with my job I was concerned they would lift because it was such a tiny drop of acrylic it wasn’t even a bead.
I then showed her that my natural nail was exposed and she told me no that’s how it works and to google how a fill works and watch a video on it. That is so rude I was shocked. I then apologized if I was being rude I just wasn’t happy. She again said no. The surface of the nail also isn’t smooth because she reused to put more acrylic on it to even it out. She just kept gaslighting me and what I was trying to tell her which is extremely frustrating. Then she filed it down and it was burning my natural nail because that tiny layer of acrylic was gone on parts of my nail. I showed her and told her to feel it and she can feel my natural nail is exposed. She told me she’ll put nail polish over it..
After she told me to google how it worked that really bothered me and now I didn’t trust her to listen to me so I decided to leave. So I told her I think I’m going to leave but she did okay I’m just not happy and your not listening to me. I told her the remark about googling how it works was rude and I just want to leave.
I felt bad I’m a hairstylist and it feels terrible when a customer isn’t happy and rude so I was trying my best to not be like that. They told me to get out I offered to pay anyway for her time she told me to get out I felt awful because I don’t want to make anyone feel bad so I tried leaving a $20 tip for her time and she yelled at me again to get out ? I told her when u talk like that to people it’s rude then her coworker yelled over your not rude she’s rude! Get out! They are yelling this at me by the way. After I offered to pay her a tip because I know some people live off their tips and I felt bad even though she was so rude to me the entire time. So I walked out.
The salon was full their behaviour was so embarrassing.
I am literally gagged at the situation completely shocked.
I’m happy I walked out and booked in with my regular nail salon. I explained to my regular nail salon the situation and they ensured me that’s not how a fill works and there trying to save money on product it’s probably a chop shop and after the experience I had it clearly is.
I’m leaving this review because I know if I read a review like this I wouldn’t have came to this salon only because I care about quality of my nail service! And kindness to others.
