After searching for the perfect salon that beats all others customer service, prices and quality, I came across Lavenus. It is the best nail salon I have ever been to. I have been going to lavenus for over a year now and between the greetings, goodbyes, laughs and student discounts, it is the best salons out there ! Thanks guys xx love my newest set !

I was never told his name, it was a young man. I asked him 3 times to cut my toe nails shorter and he didn't. I also ended up with razor burns on my heels from his scraping til there was blood. I did not want any nail polish on either hand or feet as last time I got them it has to be grinded off and really wrecked my healthy nails. So lesson learned and won't be returning. They also charged full price when I didn't want any polish which I thought was kinda greedy on their part.

Update: Unfortunately, i have to update my review. On my last trip to the salon, the chemical smell was once again very strong. I asked them to please turn on the exhaust fan, which they did. Why not leave the exhaust fan on for the health and comfort of your employees and patrons? Breathing in those strong fumes is really bad for your health, especially for 8 hours a day.

Next, I noticed that the employee who was working on me was reusing disposable, single use nail files that are single use for hygiene and preventing the spread of infections.

When I inquired and asked for new disposables to be used on me, the young man working on my mother's feet translated my request, and then proceeded to very obviously make fun of me in another language, using a mocking tone, imitating my speech. I was genuinely shocked, since I asked very politely, but what could I say?

It's a shame because as you can tell from my previous review, I wanted to give them a chance and I don't like leaving negative reviews.

Wonderful experience. They gave me exactly what I asked for, the price was fair and the lady who took care of me was great!

There was a lot of chemical smell when I first arrived, but I just asked them to open the door and they were happy to, and turned on the fan. It made a difference within minutes ? the staff were kind and open to feedback and guidance.

Single most frustrating thing is when you ask for a design before signing up for a pedicure and they say yes we can do that and then your stuck with something you didn't ask for. And, stuck with the bill too. I hate when people lie and don't listen to you, especially when you're paying for a service. After discovering she couldn't do what I wanted, I asked her to just paint it normally with no design. She kept f'ing around with a design and didn't listen. And insisted on something I clearly didn’t like and said stop. No doesn't mean no here. They'll do what they want to take your money. Also, she cut into my skin causing me to bleed and didn't shape the nails the way I asked because she didn't understand me. Most don't speak or barely speak English here. So language and communicating what you want gets lost in translation even when you show them a picture. And the fumes from the nail polish will leave you with a wicked headache. There doesn't seem to be any ventilation. Far from a relaxing or enjoyable experience. Find somewhere else to go. This place is horrible.
