I had my first appointment with Chloe at Volume Salon, and I was so impressed! From the moment I sat in her chair, it was clear she’s an expert—she really listened to what I wanted, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made me feel completely at ease. She’s incredibly professional, but also warm and easy to talk to, which made the whole experience even better. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. My hair turned out exactly how I hoped—actually, better! Highly recommend Chloe if you’re looking for someone talented, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do.

Had a recent hair colour and cut appointment with Chloe Gillies at the Volumes store. Though it was my first time there and I felt welcome and everyone from the reception to my stylist was prefessional and courteous. Chloe, my stylist, took the time to understand what I wanted and to match my hair colour. The colour came out perfect with a rich tone and the cut was exactly what I was looking for. I came out very satisfied and rather thrilled with the service from this salon. Will definitley be back!

So pleased with my cut from Justine Lutomski. I managed to get in on a last minute appointment while visiting EDM! I really wish I'd found her when I LIVED there. But I'll definitely be back anytime I'm in town. I loved the shampoos & conditioner. The way she styled my hair after the cut too. I highly recommend her as your stylist!

Absolutely Disappointed – Ruined My Graduation Look

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so disappointing I feel like people need to know. I came in for a very important appointment—my graduation hair—and showed the stylist a clear picture of exactly what I wanted. It was something I had been planning for weeks. Not only did the final result look nothing like the photo, but it was also sloppy and rushed.
To make things worse, this disaster cost $400. That’s a huge amount of money, and it was my mom’s hard-earned money. I left the salon feeling frustrated and heartbroken. Instead of feeling beautiful and confident on one of the most important days of my life, I felt embarrassed and disappointed.

This was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hairstylist. If you care about how you look for a big event—especially one as meaningful as graduation—please think twice before booking here. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I came to this salon for a big change—cutting my long hair into a bob for the first time postpartum. I asked for an experienced stylist and was assured I’d be seeing a “master stylist.” While she was friendly, she didn’t take much time to understand my hair history, so I explained it myself: thick, frizzy, previously bleached and colored, and experiencing postpartum hair loss. I asked for a bob, longer in the front, and offered a photo reference, but she declined, saying she understood what I wanted.
The initial cut looked uneven and choppy in the back, which she acknowledged and tried to fix. I paid $80, but once I got home and saw it properly, it still wasn’t right. I couldn’t return immediately due to travel and caring for my newborn, but I called after a month. I was told I’d have to pay again because of a 2-week policy, even after explaining my situation. She eventually agreed to fix it for free.The second cut was also disappointing. I voiced that it wasn’t what I wanted, but was told it “couldn’t be done” and that it looked fine. Family and friends immediately pointed out it looked even worse.Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this salon. I expected more from someone with the title of master stylist, especially for such a basic haircut.

I have attached two photos as it won’t let me do the videos. the one with the white shirt is from today after my cut. May 14 and the other one is from the first cut…. It literally got worse ?? wish I never went back. Or even in the first place. Traumatizing for my first big chop.
