Tropos Fitness Club

This place is the bomb dot com. The bees knees. The place where they always remember your name and your game ? the place that makes me laugh and smile while getting my butt kicked! The place that always leaves me feeling shredded the next day and delivers the optimal full body workout with each visit. Not to mention getting a high-tech body scan and getting to know my body on a much deeper level with the very qualified and knowledgeable nutrien I have only been going for a week, but I am totally hooked. Saul ran my first couple trainings and is fantastic, but I got to meet all the other trainers, and they are incredible too, and I look forward to working with all of them. Jorge is the coordinator at the gym and incredibly fast and efficient with communication, and super friendly! The owners are really cool guys. The kinda folks you want in your corner. And extremely generous. They donated a personal training package in support of a recovery charity event, and that's how I was fortunate enough to get to experience Tropos in the first place. And it seems like everyone loves this place. I've already bumped into a few of my friends there! I can't say enough good things and I will be singing their praises to anyone fitness curious!

This gym is absolutely fantastic! The equipment is always well-maintained and there's a large variety, so I never feel limited in my workouts. What truly sets this place apart is the top-tier team. My main trainer, Saul, is incredible, but honestly, every single staff member I've encountered has been personable, approachable, and genuinely caring!

The atmosphere here is just what you want in a gym – inviting, welcoming, and inclusive, yet also engaging and challenging. The classes are a perfect balance, always pushing me to my limit and even further, but never in a way that feels unattainable.

Again, the staff truly cares about you and your specific goals. Even though the workouts are in a semi-private setting, they feel completely tailored to my individual abilities.

Finally, the community here is wonderful. It's a supportive and uplifting group of people, all encouraging each other. If you're looking for a gym that has it all – great equipment, amazing staff, an inspiring atmosphere, challenging classes, and a strong sense of community – you’re going to love Tropos!!!

I joined Tropos Fitness Club back in the fall of last year (Fall 2024), and saying it has changed my life isn't something I say lightly – it genuinely has, in the most profound and positive way possible. From my very first interaction with one of the owners, Liam, who is absolutely incredible, I felt welcomed and encouraged. That feeling has only grown stronger thanks to my amazing trainer, Ryan. The two of them have been constant sources of motivation, cheering me on every step of the way, especially through the tough stretches. I truly appreciate both of them and their great support, big time! Honestly, the entire staff at Tropos is so awesome! They've fostered the absolute best culture – so positive, motivating, and genuinely supportive. It's unlike any gym I've ever been to.

Since joining Tropos, I’ve enjoyed it thoroughly. The workouts are hardcore, the trainers know their stuff, the culture is high energy & fun, with lots of friendly members too. It’s been a terrific addition in helping me attain my fitness goals.

Let me set the stage: After a lifetime of living as a Prairie Girl, 3 months ago I decided to shift my identity to ‘Island Girl’. No regrets. But I left behind so many important people and places, including my gym and my personal training team. I used my social media accounts to follow a lot of Victoria’s finest places, and Tropos Fitness was one of them. I loved their philosophy. Their sense of community. The ‘private’ fitness club approach. I contacted owner Liam, and within moments, got a response. Very soon after, I had a consult appointment. This was what caught my immediate attention. The consult was a frank conversation about me. My goals. My personality. My Drive. My level of determination. My preferences. There was no sense of pressure to commit to more than I was looking for, or to spend more than I had to spend. It felt like more of an invitation to join a great team. To challenge myself. And it included transparency about how to end my commitment to training at Tropos whenever I felt ready, or how to never leave at all. The next thing I loved? The change rooms. Esthtically gorgeous. Very clean. Towel service and toiletries included. Beautiful spacious showers. The NEXT thing I loved was the 1:1 nutritional evaluation with Saul. The precise body composition scan, a summary email and recommended food/recipes for my goals was helpful in order to show me the numbers, and to nudge me to get groceries and prep my weekly meals. And finally, the chef’s kiss: the training. I opted for 1-hour, semi-private sessions 3 times per week at a time that fit for my work-life schedule. It’s only been 3 weeks, but I have left every session sweaty and satisfied and motivated. Join this gym. You’ll feel like you’re part of something really special.
