I had a pinched nerve in my lower back two days ago and decided to try a massage here and it was definitely the right decision. I felt so much better in my leg, feet, and glutes afterward. Meredith is the one who worked her magic. If you enjoy massages that focus on precise pressure points, she’s exactly who you’re looking for!

Over the many years I've frequented this owner-operated local business, the consistent friendliness of everyone there has always delighted me. It's with a touch of sadness that I anticipate moving and no longer being able to stop by. I truly wanted to share my high recommendation for this excellent place.

Khoi’s is an awesome therepist! Great deep pressure, she makes sure that she worked on my sore spots. Definitely gonna go see her again.

My massage at the knot stop was an amazing experience for me from the beginning to the end. I booked a 1 hour massage with khoi and I highly recommend getting a massage from her because she was very warm and friendly and I was very impressed by her level of professionalism. She made me feel very comfortable and provided me with a very clean and zen atmosphere. The massage I received from her left me feeling so relaxed and stress free. She totally exceeded my expectations and I’ll definitely be coming back.

I received a massage yesterday by Mai- Khoi Tran (Joey) and it was very disappointing. I will preface by saying I’ve had various sports injuries over the years and been getting massages for over 12 years now with my fair share of good and bad.
I will list in point form what I did not like:
1. The greeting as I walked in was very poor, no smiles, no welcome, just showed me to my room.
2. The massage table seemed old, the spot where you put your face was half covered by a cloth and kept moving, not the most comfortable.
3. As for the massage, she kept using her forearm and elbow to administer the massage, I think this was due to lack of strength in her hands. Even if this “technique” as she called it was used, I would understand if it was only the large muscle groups like back, thighs, etc. There was no need to use a forearm and elbow in areas like biceps and shoulders.
4. At multiple times in the massage, she would put pressure on a bone or a vertebra, areas you should not massage and especially not with an elbow. There was also multiple times her arm would slip to a different spot, likely due to too much massage oil.
5. I asked for her to focus on my lower back, but she spent about 3 minutes there and the rest on my upper back. She mentioned there isn’t much muscle around the lower back so she spent more time on the upper back however usually the connecting muscle groups to focus on for lower back pain are quadratus lumborum which spread towards the hips, the glutes, the small muscle group around the lower spine and even the hamstrings, all of which were ignored.
I don’t mean to be rude. I know this review is harsh, but every one of my comments was based on fact and not based on emotions. It was a very poor massage that has me feeling worse today than I did going in for the massage yesterday. I’m writing this review so others may benefit, not to knock on Mai (Joey).
