Had a spa package here and found some parts great and some a bit less so. It’s a bit cheaper than a full day spa, but not by much, so for the cost I think I’d stick to a day spa for some things and come here more massage and aromatherapy steam (once they fix the door)
I had a body scrub which was coffee (one of my faves) but it was pretty dry as a scrub so by the end my skin was starting to hurt. More oil in it or a bit of water added would be helpful. There was also no lotion application after which could be because I was getting a massage but I’ve never had a scrub without lotion applied. The bed for this was heated which was nice and a good shower in the room for after. I am definitely smooth after the scrub!
The steam room was nice and I think eucalyptus, but the door that connects to the hallway doesn’t lock or even close fully so there’s a constant gap - considering this is where you disrobe it made me very uncomfortable - it’s a big enough gap to see in. You can’t see into the actual steam room, just into the changing area.
Massage was good but I think I would skip the hot stones and instead go for cupping or similar, the beds are really nice, and they flip the head rest into a pillow when you turn over for some of it which was comfy. After this you sit in that room and there are treats to eat, so no lounge area like in some spas, but that’s not really important to me. When I left they brought me out a snack I didn’t eat to take home which was sweet and made locally - liked that!
Lastly I had a facial and this is something I’d skip - it’s not customized, more for relaxation, and it does feel nice but for the price I’d rather just lengthen my actual massage and enjoy that more instead.
If I came back I’d try a wrap instead of a scrub or facial because I bet that is very nice here, and get a massage and a steam again. If you don’t have the expectation of it meeting day spa level, you will likely be very pleased with most of their offerings.
The front desk person was so friendly and an absolute joy.
