This was my go to nail place while I was living in Calgary. Even though it took me an hour by bus to get there, it was worth it. My nails always looked perfect! Their acrylic application is flawless, and the retention is even better. For reference, I was working in a lab so my nails were always under stress. I don't think I ever had a nail lift until the 5+ mark.

Not only that, but they're always able to finish in a reasonable amount of time. The photo I've attached below (white v-french tip) was the last set I got done here. They removed my old set, put on a new set, and competed the design in ~2 1/2 hours.

I've been back in Victoria for over a month now, and have yet to find someone here who can do what they do. From my experience here, it takes many techs that same amount of time for just a fill and solid colour. The first woman I saw once I got back asked me where I got them done. After I told her, she said that she doesn't know very many nail techs in Victoria who can replicate what YYC Nails Lounge can do!

I had a dip powder manicure done here recently and unfortunately, it started peeling and chipping within just a few days. By day five, several nails had significant lifting and wear. I’ve had dip powder done many times before, and this kind of early breakdown isn’t typical in my experience.

I don’t live in the city, so coming back for a fix wasn’t an option. I was hoping the salon might offer a refund or credit toward a future visit, but they only offered 20% off next time, which felt a bit disappointing given how quickly the manicure failed.

The staff were kind and the salon was clean, but I wish the outcome—and the resolution—had been better.

Beautiful salon got my nails done and am not to thrilled I thought they looked great but now not even a week later they look awful. I got them cause I’m going on a trip I drove 4.5 hour to Calgary to visit my kids and get my nails done. I don’t think I’ll return here super upset especially with how much we paid.
