This was one of the worst salon experiences I’ve ever had. I arrived early at 12:30 PM for my 1 PM appointment, but they didn’t begin any actual consultation until around 12:50 PM. From there, everything felt chaotic and unprofessional-yet the entire process somehow dragged on for over 3 hours.
I have long, silky, naturally straight hair, and the consultant immediately told me I had extremely dry hair and even pointed out a “bald spot”.That comment alone made me feel extremely self-conscious and insecure. I tried to explain that my hair gets exposed to stress and weather due to my job, but she didn’t listen. Instead, she quickly pushed an Olaplex treatment, barely giving me time to understand or decline it.
The wash alone took almost an hour, done by two different people who looked completely exhausted. One of them, who was responsible for combing and detangling my hair afterward, was especially rough. She kept tugging and pulling on my wet hair with no gentleness at all. It was painful and felt careless, like she just wanted to get it over with.
What shocked me even more was when I noticed the brush she was using already had another client’s hair in it. I politely asked if she could switch to a clean one, and instead of replacing it, she just pulled the hair out and kept using the same brush on me. Extremely unhygienic and honestly disgusting.
When I finally met with Aasif-I clearly told him:
– I don’t want to lose volume
– I want to keep the length
– Just soft, long layers, no big chops
Instead, he randomly chopped large chunks of my hair in under 5 minutes-no sectioning, no blending, no precision. He was bouncing between multiple clients at once, and I was left sitting, waiting, and wondering when I’d be next.
The blow-dry process was equally chaotic. I had to wait again for two different stylists-one to dry and another to style. During this, the stylist got not one, but two round brushes tangled in my hair while blow-drying. It was uncomfortable and made me incredibly anxious. By that point, I had a fake smile on my face and just wanted it all to be over.
And just before I could leave, the stylist again tried to upsell hair oil, claiming I had a poor routine. I told her I had quality products at home, but she insisted. Ironically, her own hair looked extremely dry, brittle, and over-processed.Most of the staff had visible hair damage- yet they were confidently pushing expensive treatments that clearly weren’t working for them.
I ended up paying $141 for an unnecessary treatment, a rushed 5-minute haircut, and a frustrating 3-hour visit full of rough handling, long waits, and aggressive upselling. I left feeling insecure, disrespected, and mentally exhausted.
They asked me to leave a review-so here it is.
FYI: I’ve included a photo of the so-called bald spot (which is clearly just a natural parting line under bright light), along with my before and after hair pictures. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
If you value your hair, your hygiene, or just basic respect then don’t risk going here. The whole experience screamed upselling, not care.
