I was greeted and welcomed by Ilona and was offered tea or coffee (so hospitable)* She was teaching one of her apprentices, and seemed very knowledgeable about her craft. I had such an amazing experience with Marina at Essential Hair and Spa! ?✨ I asked for a green nail design with leaves and gold accents—and she absolutely nailed it! The attention to detail was next level.

My nail tech was genuinely sweet and tried her best, but the overall experience didn’t meet expectations. She mentioned she had only 5 years of experience, and unfortunately, that showed in both the technique and product quality. The work felt more beginner-level, yet I was charged significantly more than the typical rate for a Russian manicure.

What made the experience more uncomfortable was the owner constantly hovering and watching over the technician’s work. On top of that, the owner came across as rude and arrogant, not just toward us, but to other customers as well.

Unfortunately, my mother and I won’t be returning. Between the lack of experience, lower product quality, and the owner’s attitude, the high price point just didn’t match the level of service we received. I’m more than happy to pay for exceptional work, but this simply wasn’t it.
