Did Cody and Sioux sell to Alberta Boot Co?

The website store has no description of items anymore, no views and sizing help.
The sales page is gone.
Whatever happened fix it ?
I love this store but it’s not the same.

A week after I placed an online order I emailed the provided email to see if everything was OK with my order. A week later the staff called me to tell me there was an inventory problem and the didn't have what I had ordered. The staff were nice and the refund was quick, but super disappointing. I don't think I'll be making any more online orders - especially with all the other reviews sighting the same issue.

Not sure what has happened to Cody & Sioux.. :(
This boutique has been one of my absolute favourite places to shop ONLINE since I first came across it in 2021 (I live 4 hours away from their locations).
The whole aesthetic of their website and Instagram was amazing!
They would always have really detailed descriptions of each item they carried, had a lot of try-on pictures and videos.
They would post daily/weekly product update videos and pictures from their beautiful store on Instagram.
Overall, it was always a great experience to shop online with them, I put in multiple online orders with them over the past 4 years.

Unfortunately, now I can’t say the same..
The website is difficult to navigate, there’s multiple duplicates of the same items listed (the same black Mauritius Crissy Leather Jacket is listed over 3 times), there’s no descriptions/sizing info for the items listed, some product listings don’t even have photos or they just use screenshots of the products from the wholesaler.

Also.. in December I ordered the Myra Nalejandra Boots and the Sarah Tank.
6 DAYS after putting the order in.. I get an email notification stating that my entire order was refunded with no explanation.

So.. I emailed Cody & Sioux asking why my order was being refunded 6 DAYS later when the website still says my items are IN-STOCK.

Cody & Sioux got back to me 4 DAYS later saying “our inventory was off and we were unable to locate the boots that you ordered. Since we do not have them in-stock we have refunded you for them.”

That day.. I checked their website and both the tank top and boots still said they were in-stock?

I then responded:
“I’m confused and would like to continue with my order. It says all of the Nalejandra Boots are in stock in a size 8 right now, the day I ordered and 3 days ago.
Here are the screenshots showing them in stock in all colours in size 8.
Also, why is the top also being refunded?”

Their response? Nothing. I haven’t had a response since January.

It is disappointing to see an amazing, unique local business change to what feels less authentic and corporate-like.

Even just a simple reply with an explanation as to why my order was cancelled due to “no inventory” but still showing FULL inventory on their website would have been appreciated. It is unfortunate to see that other customers have had similar experiences according to recent reviews.

I really hope that this is just a bump in the road as the new owner’s take over and that their service will improve and stay authentic as to what it used to be.

I placed an order for a T-shirt for my son’s birthday. A week after it was supposed to arrive no email. I called the Inglewood store- well they don’t have the shirt, never did…no plans to get anymore. No nothing. No well what about a different shirt or here’s a discount or something anything. No just cancelled your order here’s your refund. So much for shopping local. What a joke. Also if I didn’t call they wouldn’t have let me know.

I contacted the Inglewood location with a few questions about the items I planned to order, but the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and unhelpful. When I asked to speak with the manager, she claimed to be the manager herself. I believe a manager should genuinely care about the store and its customers. I’ve decided not to make any future purchases from your business.
