Binh's Nails South Common is hands-down the best nail salon I’ve been to! The team is so warm and professional, creating such a comfortable atmosphere. My pedicure was done with such precision and care, and the design I chose came out even better than I imagined. Their technique is impeccable, and they use high-quality products that last. I had one of the most disappointing salon experiences at Binh Nails South Common. I went in for a shellac manicure and pedicure, paid $110 first time (+$57.50* 2nd time), and left feeling upset, in pain, and extremely dissatisfied.

The technician I had (either Ngu or Nga — I’m not sure of her exact name) was in a rush the entire time, even though I specifically told her I wasn’t in a hurry, as I had already rescheduled my next appointment. Despite that, she worked carelessly and still took almost 2 hours just for poorly done nails. My cuticles were cut too deep and started bleeding, and my nails were left with uneven shapes and mismatched sizes.On top of that, she used way too much glue, and it got all over my skin, causing discomfort and irritation.

For the pedicure, she completely skipped the massage and went straight to applying polish. When I politely asked if she was done already, she told me to “stay quiet” and said she’d do everything step by step — which came off as rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, the shellac polish on my toenails peeled off within a day.

This was supposed to be a pampering experience before my special occasion and international trip, but instead, I was so upset I cried after the appointment. My husband encouraged me to go back and get them fixed, knowing how particular I am about things being neat and properly done.

When I returned, Melinda helped redo my nails and tried her best. I’m thankful for her efforts, but the results still weren’t ideal due to the existing shellac base. And despite everything, I was charged again for the correction.

In the end, I wasted more than 4 hours, paid twice, left with cut and sore cuticles, and got a result that still wasn’t what I originally expected. There was no apology, no accountability, and no offer of refund for the poor service. I will never go back to that technician, and I don’t recommend her to anyone. A truly disappointing experience.
