Bevan Avenue Salon & Esthetics

I found this place by accident and am so happy I did! She gives me a cut called 'sauvage' (french for wild) which leaves my hair looking so healthy and full! (Like a Hollywood blowout!) She is also very good about not taking off too much length! Her prices are very reasonable, and she has great stories to tell. She always manages to fit people in, even last minute. Be aware that she is not very efficient and a simple cut takes almost two hours. However, this is because she treats you like an old friend and your appointment is not just about your hair, it's about visiting too. Even though I live in Seattle now, I still come here to get my hair cut, she is that good!

A very friendly and welcoming place, they give excellent haircuts at a very reasonable price. Upon visiting for my first time I was under the impression that they only do women's haircuts, I was wrong. I requested a very complex mens haircut and was happily surprised when they absolutlely nailed it. Two thumbs up from me as this place truly is a great salon for both men and women.

Vesna gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had and I am picky. She listened to my requests and was meticulous. A very skilled hairdresser!

I am not the one to take time to give a bad review but I feel obligated to this time. I went to Vesna with beautiful hair to be colored as per picture (caramel highlights) shown to her. I have had this color done many times before on my hair so i wasn't reaching for a color that cant be done on my hair. I came out of there with maroon hair after 3 attempts (4 hours each time) and 300 dollars spent. Won't bore you with the details of each trip. I had to go to another salon and pay again (210) to get it fixed and had to wear a hat to cover my hair in the mean time. I definitely cant go light now for a couple of months till the hair heals itself. I tried to resolve with her first by asking her to fix it which she said she couldn't do and then graciously asked her to return half the money so that its fair to both parties. I feel like i took the brunt of her mistake by paying with my time money and as my hair has been over processed. I was hoping that she would talk to be or return my call but instead chose to ignore my calls and i could hear her talking badly about me when the answering machine was on... :)
Funny cause in spite of all she had done I didn't even let the other salon know here name as I felt that may be unfair as its a small town and this is her livelihood. Anyways you live and learn. On a positive note the place is very clean and she is very slow (she took 4 hours vs 2 hours in an other salon) but gives you personal attention. He hair cut was good. It was hurtful that she chose to just abandon me with maroon hair an somehow she feels ok with it........
