Arcadian Massage - West 85th

This was my first time with Arcadian Massage and I had Bela as my massage therapist. She was so amazing! She was able to listen to my needs and was able to adjust her pressure when I asked her to. She was so relaxing that I even fell asleep. She was so good that I honestly didn't want to leave ? awesome job! Thank you Arcadian Massage for a wonderful experience!

Right from walking through the doors I was met with a lovely smile from the receptionist. She gave me the option to wear some slides or go bare feet. The place was so clean I probably didn’t need the slides. The waiting room was calm and relaxing. Wilson was right on time and communicated very clearly and asked good questions. He is very professional. The massage itself was great and exactly what I needed for some self care after being in town for a triathlon. He applied just the right amount of pressure to all the areas to help release tension. He made good conversation and made me feel at ease. Since I’m from out of town, I was thrilled that they do direct billing, super convenient. I 100% recommend!

The clinic itself is clean, well maintained and very welcoming. It is also easy to get a quick appointment if I need.
I have been seeing Jessica for massage therapy for a while annd have always had a great experience with her. She has resolved some pain issues which I have had for years and always goes above and beyond. She is friendly, and makes the whole experience as comfortable as possible. Thank you Jessica!

Today was my first massage appointment at Arcadian Massage. My parents have speaking so highly. Now I know why! :) Lisa was absolutely amazing. Only in one session I have become her fan. I have an injury and she was so careful and caring. The clinic is very clean and the staff are very welcoming. I will be a regular client from now on.

I visited this place in Sunday evening for a massage appointment, and while I was very satisfied with the massage therapist’s service, I unfortunately had a negative experience with the front desk staff that I feel compelled to bring to your attention.

Upon arrival, before I could even introduce myself or mention that I had an appointment, the receptionist abruptly asked for my name. After confirming my identity, I was immediately told that my insurance was not valid and that I would need to pay the full amount upfront and claim it myself later. There was no greeting, no explanation—just a direct statement that felt cold and unwelcoming.

I showed my insurance card again and it might be due to the legal name on file, at which point I was told they would recheck and that I could go in for the massage in the meantime. After the service, I was informed that only part of the amount was covered and was told, “I don’t know what your policy is, but you have to pay this amount.” I mentioned that is strange as I am aware of my coverage, so I preferred to pay in full and claim it myself. At that point, the receptionist seemed visibly annoyed and said they would cancel the claim they had already submitted.

Throughout this entire interaction, the tone and attitude of the front desk staff were extremely unprofessional. She spoke when I wasn’t ready or at my back making it difficult to understand what was being said. I was left feeling rushed and disrespected, unable to even finish getting ready before being spoken to again.

I believe it is important to treat clients with respect, patience, and professionalism. Even if there is a billing or insurance issue, it should be approached with care and clear communication—not with abrupt demands and dismissive behavior.

Again, I want to emphasize that the massage therapist was excellent. However, the front desk experience before and after the appointment significantly affected my overall visit in a negative way. Sorry to say but this is absolutely the WORST experience.
