Jenny is the best! The nails she does last 4-5 weeks for me! She is amazing!

I have been coming here since moving to Langford March 2024 (a year now). No matter which staff did my manicure or pedicure they were always friendly, helpful and inclusive at An’s.
My most recent experience was a walk in during Easter ? long weekend afternoon. It was a bit of a wait but once I got in I was in and out with freshly painted nails in around 30 minutes ??

*second update* once again, there were no previous hang nails (I have people who I was with before going into the salon that day who can back this up). I still have not received a refund, or formal apology for what happened and as the nails have slightly grown out they look quite bad. I would still like a full refund.
*update* The photos do actually show the blood, and no, I had no blood on my hands at all prior coming into the salon. As stated in my review, I have had multiple sets of acrylic/ gel before and have NEVER experienced what I did this time around. I did not, and do not feel comfortable returning to this salon to get the nails removed or fixed due to the blood and pain level during the service (hence why I turned down the owner offering for me to come back in, which is completely reasonable). I did not file anything but the *underside* of my nails as I could not stand the gobs of extra product, I have not touched my cuticle myself since my time at this salon, other than to oil/ moisturize my cuticle and hands (I did that before the owner said to, as I needed relief). I believe the owners response says enough to my experience. I also asked for gel nails, NOT acrylics (although I’ve had them in the past). The service is not what I expected at all. Photos with the door in the background are after I filed the underside, but still had paint etc that was still stuck on. Photos in the car are right after walking out of the salon (if you zoom in you can clearly see the blood, extra paint etc). This was just my experience, everyone has different experiences but sadly mine was negative, and has progressively gone down hill while trying to rectify the situation, first in private and now in public. It should also be added I’ve been recovering from surgery for a month unable to work etc, there was no hangnails prior to coming into this salon.

I went in to get my nails done, and walked out with multiple of my fingertips bleeding by the cuticle (one spot isn’t even on the cuticle but my actual finger tip). I came in with no hangnails, and left with hangnails on almost all of my fingers. I have had the same type of nails done before elsewhere, and have never left the salon bleeding, or with such painful finger tips from the service. The work was so sloppy when I got home I filed down the extra gel on the underside of the nails to make them look ok; There was paint on my finger tip, and sloppily on the underside of the nails (I had to file every nail) along with pulling gel polish off the skin of my fingertips. I kindly requested a refund, as I feel anyone would do in my situation given the circumstances. I was met with a “policy” that is not on the website, nor did I see it in the salon stating if they take over an hour to do a service there is no refund (my nails should not have taken over an hour in the first place as they are super simple French tips with no extra nail art, and my nails where bare when I came in). I have since had not received a response after slight conversation, despite thoroughly explaining my situation to them. Another thing I noticed while getting my nails done at this business is tools are not sanitized/ cleaned in between clients, or being placed back in with the other tools. So far no refund, or even a partial refund or apologies for causing the bleeding and pain due to the service I received (they said it was my fault for the pain as I filed the underside down once I got home, even though I explained I was in pain before I even got to my car). Save your money and go elsewhere. I sadly did not notice the level of sloppy work until I left the salon. Prices are far too high for what you receive here.

Giving one star because this is the lowest rating I can do. Went in and asked for leopard print, they said they could do it. I proceeded to sit there for 3 hours (hour and a half of him just buffing my nails to fix the unevenness of them) he then proceeded to do one nail and asked me if it was okay, I said sure because it seemed like that was the best they do could. For the rest of my nails, they never once asked me if I liked them, or if they were okay, just proceeded to turn the light on and motion to put my hand in. Over the course of 3 hours and telling me they could do this design I figured they could do it. But at the end, they are splotchy, uneven and don’t even look like leopard unless you’re 6 feet away. I’ve come here numerous times and never had an issue because I got solid colours. I understand not being able to do a print this advanced, but don’t tell me you can, if you can’t. Tried to dispute the $80 price they were wanting me to pay, and only got $10 shaved off. Manager proceeded to call me a liar and say I should’ve spoken up which I did multiple times. Never coming back here, so disappointed in wasting my hard earned cash like this. Hope they can reflect on a customer satisfaction better in the future, until then avoid this place.

I have never had such a horrible job done before on my nails like I have today..my nails look nothing like one another the shape of my nails do not match! I have my birthday coming up and I cannot be more upset and angry with how the owner messed them up. The abundance amount of gel on my nails is absolutely insane and makes them look so thick, nothing beautiful or delicate about them!
And not to mention she skipped a part of the service which was a cuticle clean up.
