I walked into WYD with concerns about scalp health and brittle hair with dry ends and walked out feeling and looking amazing! Yolande and her team took the time to assess my hair and scalp condition and provided me with hair care products as well a fabulous hair cut.

Highly recommend you visit her salon and be ready to be greeted with a warm smile :)

I have been coming to WDYH since late July 2024. I wanted a place that I could rely on to do my dreads, and I was not disappointed. The staff are always welcoming, super friendly, and knowledgeable. Susan is a master at her craft. I HIGHLY recommend this shop. They do braids, cuts and dreads, and ALWAYS do clean work.

Fantastic touch! Susan is a phenomenal Loctician/Texture Specialist with a lot of experience. She's super fast and has honed her skills to perfection. A consultation appointment is required before booking for your hair appointment. It takes about 15 minutes. It took two hours for my retouch. If you're looking for a great dreadlock specialist, Susan is your person. Had a great experience.

My daughter has visited this salon a few times. It’s been quite some time since our last visit, as we travel from Nanaimo.

We both have curly hair, and my daughter’s hair is extremely curly since she is mixed race.

I went to book an appointment online for convenience. I made the appointment on Monday, and immediately received a reply stating, “Appointment request
pending.”

The stylist had two time slots available, but by the end of Monday, I still did not receive any confirmation.

On Tuesday morning, I received an email from WDYH asking me to fill out a questionnaire before our visit; however, I still hadn’t received a confirmed appointment email. This left me confused since it seemed like we had a confirmed appointment, but when I logged in, it still said “Pending.”

To ensure that everything was set, I called to confirm, as we were making the drive from Nanaimo to Victoria. The person who answered the phone informed me that the stylist does not take new clients and denied our appointment.

So my questions are:

1. Why is this stylist available for booking if she isn't accepting new clients?
2. After receiving the “declined” email, I logged back in and saw two time slots available. How does that happen?
3. Where is the customer service or appreciation for the clients?
4. Why allow this stylist to be booked through the online platform if she doesn’t take new customers? Why not block her or adjust your booking system and processes?

In this day and age, you would think that businesses would want to attract customers.

We have visited this location several times over the years. My daughter's hair is so curly that she doesn’t need haircuts often; she loves her long, curly hair.

I would recommend NOT booking through their website and phone.
