I need a new family doctor cause i am a complex patient with misdiagnoses, i told and showed him my history and he agreed to see me again. I booked a follow up like he said to show him more tests and i get a email saying my appt is cancelled. I phone and i was told to see my current family doctor who will not help me and i explained that to him asking him to be my doctor. He directly lied to me. I may file a complaint with the college but they are useless and dont discipline doctors cause we have a shortage here. I have tried. Id give zero if i could.

Feedback Regarding Missed Shingles Diagnosis

I’m writing to provide some feedback regarding my recent visits to your clinic.

I came in twice earlier this week with a facial rash and swelling near my left eye. I was initially prescribed a topical antibiotic and, on my second visit, an oral antibiotic for what was diagnosed as a bacterial skin infection.

Unfortunately, the condition continued to worsen, and I was later diagnosed at urgent care with shingles. I’m currently at the hospital eye clinic being assessed due to potential involvement of the eye.

I understand that skin infections can be difficult to diagnose in the early stages, and I’m not writing this out of anger. I simply wanted to share this in case it helps improve care for others in the future — especially since shingles on the face (particularly near the eye) carries risks of serious complications if not identified early.

The doctors not even taking a look at you after you waiting so much time in the waiting room.
My doctor gave me a referral, when I came back and asked what going on with my referral after 6 months, she look on the computer and told me she forgot to press “submit”.
I wanted an appointment after couple months I didn’t visit the clinic and they told me that because I didn’t visit the clinic more than 2 years (which is wrong) I need to ask my doctor if she still willing to be my doctor.
I called to book an appointment and they told me I need to go online, when I was insist they put me on the line for at least 10 minutes and I just gave up.
Even not a 1 star… I would give them minus stars if it was possible.

I got in touch with Well Health as requested below and they did not respond. Many things that need improved, but has only gotten worse the last 5 years.

My “family” doctor works a few days a week here, and when he’s working I’m usually only able to book a walk in appointment and hope I get him and not another doctor when I get my turn. Theres no way to book an appointment time even if you’re a patient here, you can only book a time to show up and wait with other walk in patients. This is an issue as I need to see MY family doctor for multiple reasons and I’m not sure how anymore.

The staff also will not help you book, as WELL health makes clients book their own appointments. Clients who need help and go into the clinic in person or call the office are directed to go on their phone or go home to book an appointment for themselves. I’m not sure how much worse it can get, but it’s not what the Canadian health care standard should be.

Issues are fairly clear through customer testimonials and have been stated multiple times previously; if they wanted to do a better job they would have by now. Since Well Health took over they've somehow managed to make the place worse.

Made multiple calls and every time I had to wait 30+ minutes for someone to answer the call. Then the receptionist will rush you on the phone and hang up quickly. Was not like this 6 months ago. I will be dropping my family doctor at this location and look for a new clinic soon.
