Holly is the best! No only does she go above and beyond to make sure that I'm happy but she always nails exactly the idea that I was going for. She's amazing at helping you choose the best haircut for your face/aesthetic and teaching you how to style it in the way that works best for you and your hair. She is professional, kind, and compassionate all while providing an entertaining and fulfilling experience. I love spending time in her chair!

The best place to get your hair done! Small boutique style hair salon with individualized service. Very funky neat place! Alisa is very skilled with colour, if you want to try something fun. Mines been purples and pinks the last few years. I receive compliments right up until I get it done again. Alisa is very talented!

Holly was great thru n thru. She listened to concerns, ideas and immediately was able to offer skilled knowledge on my hair type, textures, movement n ‘low maintenance’ lifestyle styling balanced with wanting a ‘good looking cut’ ha!

I jokingly asked for a haircut that would make me look younger (hide the grey, mask thinning spots, accentuate cheek bones, etc), & she achieved all of it! Seriously- miracle hairstyle lol!

A chance encounter this summer at Baker beach on Salt Spring where the lady had a fabulous haircut led me to Holly’s lil glam salon and I’m so glad I remembered and booked in.

She offers free non rushed consult time and really listened and made me feel at ease despite living with trichotillomania, immediately gaining my trust and feeling at ease.

I think I’ve found my stylist after 3 years of jumping around to different places and being mostly dissapointed afterwards.

Finally, I respected that she focused on cutting and whilst we chatted and such, we didn’t have to ‘make banter/chit chat’, the whole time. A genuine person is my first impressions.

So, a totally positive self care experience with authentic respectful creative vibes all round at the Fox and The Hair.

I got a cut from Holly and I'm confused because I only see amazing reviews. My hair cut was good, I didn't ask for anything crazy but my appointment was 30 mins late and it was just in my experience the least friendly hair appointment I've ever had. I know she was running late, which probably annoyed her as well but that's not really my problem. Also I normally get all the shaved bits brushed off my neck but I left with hair all over my neck and face. I went in maybe with a higher standard based off of the reviews, but I came in on an off day I guess.
