I’ve been getting tattooed at Painted Lotus for years now, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Gwen (shop owner) is amazing. She’s absurdly skilled, thoughtful with her designs, and manages to make getting stabbed by tiny needles feel like a calming experience.

Painted Lotus itself is such a welcoming and inclusive space. Everyone there is kind and nice to talk to. You'll feel comfortable the second you walk in, whether it’s your first tattoo or your fiftieth.

I’d recommend any artist at Painted Lotus without hesitation. They’re all skilled, respectful and down-to-earth. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll feel seen, safe and leave with incredible art on your body, this is it.

This was my very first tattoo, and I was a little nervous, but Meg made the whole process feel easy, safe, and exciting. Her energy is warm, professional, and so chill, and you can instantly tell she loves what she does.

Everyone, especially me, is obsessed with the result. Literally every soul who sees it says how beautiful it looks, great clean lines, details, and just perfectly done.

Had a great first time tattoo experience at Painted Lotus. The artists I met are professional, knowledgeable and passionate about their work. Scott made me feel at home in the shop and gave me detailed information about every stage of the process from design to healing. I am happy with the results so far! (These photos are just past the two week mark.) I am looking forward to coming back for more appointments in the future!

I had been researching artists for ages since I moved from the mainland and found Emily via recommendation and immediately fell in love with her style. That being said what really stands out beyond the talent is the atmosphere of the shop itself. I love coming here. The vibe is welcoming, the staff have a genuine camaraderie and there are no stupid questions. As cliche as it may sound this is a genuinely safe space where any anxiety I may have fades away and I feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. I can’t recommend Painted Lotus Studios enough, all the artists are talented but beyond that the owner has been able to foster an inclusive culture that really keeps me coming back. Keep up the great work!
