I was one of those guys who thought massages were for women who went to Spas. Then my personal trainer advised me to go to help with recovery as part of my training plan.

At my first visit Cindy identified multiple issues in my back and shoulders that I didn’t know I had (other than feeling a little tight that I thought was part of my gym visits).

Cindy didn't see my issues and need for treatment as a way to access my benefit dollars. She genuinely wants to treat you as quickly and efficiently as possible so you can get back to your daily life. She questioned me about my posture and other habits to try and figure out why I had the symptoms she had found. It turned out my daily c-train commute and gym bag over one shoulder was the root cause! Over the next few sessions my back and shoulder pain was eliminated, my posture improved, and a new gym bag was in place.

I’ve since been treated for extremely tight IT bands caused by running, ice hockey, incorrect use of foam rolling, a little too many barbell squats and bad stretching habits. I’m happy to say now I don’t have any issues in that area and my running performance has improved dramatically.

I’ve been treated now by Cindy for around 18months. Massage is part of my self-care routine now. Whenever I’ve over trained or ran too much she fixes me up…always taking time to remind me about my self-care routines (or lack thereof).

I can’t recommend Cindy highly enough. She is a true professional, focused on effective treatment and the education of her clients to ensure we all stay as healthy as we can.
