This studio focuses on functional movement under the name of Critical Alignment Yoga, but It is so much more than yoga. I practiced yoga regularly for 20 years, but the classes at Back To Mobility helped me with issues that I had never been able to resolve. Danielle has vast experience in many yoga disciplines, her instruction is fantastic and the small class sizes mean that she is able to give personal attention to each student. I have enjoyed classes with other instructors at the studio as well, they each bring their own style and experience to the class.
As well as the yoga classes, I also get regular massages from Danielle. She is absolutely the best massage therapist I have ever experienced, I would highly recommend her.

Danielle is an incredibly intelligent instructor. Her knowledge about bio-mechanics and functional movement is unparalleled. I have been in several car accidents and her Critical Alignment classes have not only changed my spine but helped heal the injuries. I now attend her Advanced classes regularly and my body feels amazing. I cannot imagine where my body would be without her knowledge and expertise. I highly recommend this studio for all levels of movement **NOT JUST YOGA!*

The yoga and movement classes are based on Critical Alignment Therapy system of yoga. Practising here has truly transformed my body and mind. The small class sizes allow for a welcoming community-feel where the teachers can really get to know their students. Some classes, such as Unwind and Release use only the soft props, whereas Posture Align Yoga will incorporate both soft and hard props. There is a lot of variety at this studio. Also, for those looking for monthly massages, the massage club membership gives you perks on the yoga classes. Lots of parking and very accessible to the Sunalta C Train station.

Whether you're new to yoga or have an advanced practice, you absolutely have to go to Danielle Pechie at Back to Mobility Yoga here in Calgary. I've done a lot of yoga classes in my years under a lot of incredible instructors but never have I experienced more clear instruction, supportive adjustments and intelligent sequences as Danielle's. If it weren't for my schedule I'd be at every single one of her classes. She has fundamentally changed the way I practice yoga. CHECK IT OUT!
